FEED ME MYTHS

Myths are not opposites of reality, but just one of the ways in which reality is structured. They circulate as narratives that stabilize perception, about bodies, roles, systems, and the distribution of power. They tell us what is natural, what is possible, and what remains unseen.

The works in this exhibition engage with such constructions. They look at how images, materials, gestures, and technologies participate in the production of meaning, how repetition turns into belief, and how belief becomes structure. Myths appear here not as ancient stories, but as active systems: embedded in language, in social codes, in visual regimes, and in the smallest everyday interactions.

To feed myths is also to expose them, to test their limits, to bend their logic, to let them shift under pressure. Within this field, myth becomes a site of negotiation rather than certainty: a space where power is not only represented, but continuously rewritten.

Die Arbeiten dieser Ausstellung setzen sich mit solchen Konstruktionen auseinander. Sie untersuchen, wie Bilder, Materialien, Gesten und Technologien an der Entstehung von Bedeutung mitwirken. Aus Wiederholung wird Überzeugung, aus Überzeugung wird Struktur. Mythen erscheinen hier nicht als Relikte vergangener Zeiten, sondern als wirksame Systeme. Sie sind eingeschrieben in Sprache, in soziale Codes, in visuellen Ordnungen, bis hinein in die kleinsten Gesten des Alltags.

Mythen zu nähren bedeutet auch, sie zu enthüllen, ihre Grenzen zu erproben, ihre Logik zu verbiegen, sie unter Druck in Bewegung geraten zu lassen. In diesem Feld wird der Mythos zu einem Ort der Aushandlung statt der Gewissheit: ein Raum, in dem Macht nicht nur repräsentiert, sondern kontinuierlich neu geschrieben wird.
